Douglas A. Cifu
Virtu Financial, Inc.

Douglas A. Cifu has been Chief Executive Officer and a member of the board of directors of Virtu Financial, Inc. since November 2013 having previously co-founded the firm in 2008. Virtu Financial, Inc. (NASDAQ: VIRTU) is a technologically-enabled financial services firm that has offices in New York, Austin, Boston, Chicago, San Francisco, Dublin, London, Paris, Hong Kong, Sydney, Singapore and Toronto. At Virtu, Mr. Cifu has led and managed all key strategic and operational decisions, including its initial public offering that closed in April 2015, the $1.4 billion acquisition of KCG Holdings in 2017, the $1.0 billion acquisition of ITG in March 2019 and various public and private financings. Mr. Cifu frequently speaks on global market structure issues and concerns with global regulators and at industry conferences and in private settings.
Prior to co-founding Virtu, Mr. Cifu was a partner at the international law firm of Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP, where he practiced corporate law from 1990 to 2008, served on the firm’s Management Committee and was Deputy Chairman of the Corporate Department. At Paul Weiss, Mr. Cifu specialized in complex merger and acquisition transactions for private equity sponsors and other Fortune 500 companies.
He is recognized in Chambers USA and Legal 500 as a leading mergers and acquisitions lawyer for buyouts and private equity transactions. In 2006, Private Equity International listed him among the 30 most influential lawyers currently working in global private equity, citing his expertise in technology-driven sectors. He has been recognized by Crain’s New York Business in its “Technology 100,” a listing of the top 100 people working in technology in the New York area. In 2020, he was recognized as the #3 top FinTech CEO by The Financial Technology Report.
Mr. Cifu is a member of the Board of Directors of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Visitors of Columbia College at Columbia University. Mr. Cifu is also Partner, Vice Chairman and Alternate Governor of the Florida Panthers, an NHL hockey franchise.
Mr. Cifu completed his J.D. at Columbia Law School in 1990 and received his B.A. from Columbia University in 1987, from which he graduated magna cum laude and elected to Phi Beta Kappa.

Daniel Veiner
BlackRock Global Markets

Daniel Veiner, Managing Director, is Co-Head of Global Trading within BlackRock Global Markets (BGM). He oversees BlackRock’s Trading function across asset classes and regions, currently operating in 11 offices.
Mr. Veiner’s service with the firm dates back to 2003, including his years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI), which merged with BlackRock in 2009. Prior to his current role, he was Global Head of Fixed Income Trading, based in New York, and Head of EMEA Fixed Income Trading based in London before that. Prior to entering fixed income trading, he was a senior derivatives trader and managed the Americas team responsible for executing trades for the Multi-Asset Strategies and Scientific Active Equity groups. Before joining BGI, he was an options market maker trading on the Pacific Stock Exchange floor backed by Group One Trading L.P.
Mr. Veiner serves the Chicago Mercantile Exchange Group as a member of the CME IRS Risk Committee. He is also a member of BlackRock’s Global Operating Committee.
Mr. Veiner earned a BSc degree in Mathematics and Engineering from Queen’s University in 1999 and an MSc degree in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University in 2001.

David Zervos
Jefferies

David Zervos is currently Chief Market Strategist for Jefferies LLC and Head of the Global Macro Division of Leucadia Asset Management, LLC (“LAM”). David joined Jefferies in 2010 after spending 2009 as a visiting advisor at the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System in Washington, D.C. Prior to visiting the Federal Reserve, he held a variety of research, sales and trading positions in the private sector, most recently managing global macro portfolios for Brevan Howard and UBS O’Connor. He began his career as an economist at the Federal Reserve Board in the early 1990’s. He received a B.Sc. from Washington University, and an M.A. and Ph.D. in economics from the University of Rochester.

Kenneth Polcari
Kace Capital Advisors

Kenny is Founder/CEO of Kace Capital Advisors, Senior Market Strategist of Slatestone Wealth, a Fox Business, CNBC & CNN financial commentator. As a former member of the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) since 1985, he brings over thirty years of executive management experience in institutional equities and wealth management, and twenty-five years of stewardship in industry advocacy. Earlier in his career, he built the U.S. equities business at the world’s largest inter-dealer broker, ICAP, and was among the first traders to go direct to institutional money managers, executing on the opportunities market evolution created, and bringing greater transparency and accessibility to the customer. Before that, Kenny ran the NYSE division for Salomon Brothers during the nineties bull market and was a part of the team that designed, developed and launched the first proprietary electronic order delivery system and reporting system in the industry. Kenny began his career on the floor of the NYSE in 1980. He served as a member of the exchange for nearly forty years and as an NYSE Governor for more than a decade., representing the interests of domestic and international institutional asset managers in the global equities markets.

Adam Inzirillo
Senior Vice President, Head of North American Equities
Cboe Global Markets

Adam Inzirillo is Senior Vice President, Head of U.S. Equities at Cboe Global Markets, Inc. (Cboe). Based in New York, Inzirillo is responsible for overseeing the product development and strategic growth of Cboe’s U.S. equities business globally. Inzirillo is defining markets by helping Cboe enhance its competitive positioning and its strategic growth efforts.

John Flood
Goldman Sachs

John is head of US Equities Sales Trading, responsible for providing institutional clients unique liquidity solutions, trade execution and originating differentiated content. He is a member of the Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC Shares Best Execution Committee. John joined Goldman Sachs as a vice president in 2014, was named managing director in 2019 and partner in 2022. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, John worked in Rates Sales and Trading within the Fixed Income Division at Lehman Brothers from 2007 to 2008 and as an executive director in Equities Sales Trading at Barclays from 2008 to 2014. John earned a BA from Harvard University in 2007 and an MBA specializing in Finance and Management from the Stern School of Business at New York University in 2014.

Mike Lewis
Barclays

Mike Lewis joined Barclays in August 2018 as Head of Cash Trading in the Americas. Mike is responsible for running HT Cash Trading for the Americas, and has played a critical part in helping Barclays grow both market and wallet share with key clients.

Mike has close to 25 years of industry experience. Prior to joining Barclays, Mike recently worked at Morgan Stanley where he traded a number of sectors, and helped in many facets of the business.

Rob Liberty
Bank of Amercia

Robert Liberty is Head of Americas Cash Execution Services for Bank America. In that role, he looks over high touch, low touch, programs, ETF’s, Canada and Latin American execution.  He joined the firm in 2023 from Goldman Sachs. Rob spent 13 years at Goldman, where in his last role lead their Americas high touch sales-trading effort. Previously, he spent 14 years at Citigroup, also leading their international sales-trading group. Rob earned his BS in Finance from Syracuse University in 1994, and currently lives in New York City with his wife and three boys.

Oliver Taylor
Citi

Oliver Taylor Managing Director, Americas Head of Equities Trading, Citi Mr. Taylor is Managing Director and Head of Equities Trading for the Americas at Citi, based in New York. Mr. Taylor joined Citi in February 2022 after 18 years at JP Morgan. In 2004, Mr. Taylor joined JP Morgan’s London offices, where he performed a variety of derivatives trading roles before relocating to New York in 2015. Mr. Taylor’s final role at JP Morgan was Head of Global Equity Exotics & Hybrids Trading and Head of EMEA Corporate Derivatives and Convertible Bonds Trading. Mr. Taylor graduated from the University of Oxford in 2003 with a first-class degree in Mathematics.

Hubert DeJesus
BlackRock

Hubert De Jesus, Managing Director, is Global Head of Market Structure and Electronic Trading within BlackRock’s Global Trading organization. He is responsible for overseeing the firm’s electronic trading initiatives, adapting trading solutions for market structure changes, and conducting execution research across all asset classes. Mr. De Jesus is a member of the Advisory Committee for the CTA/CQ, UTP, and Limit-Up/Limit-Down National Market System Plans.

Mr. De Jesus’s service with the firm dates back to 2003, including his years with Barclays Global Investors (BGI), which merged with BlackRock in 2009. Prior to assuming his current role, Mr. De Jesus managed a team of traders responsible for equity and FX execution for the Index and Scientific Active Equity businesses. Prior to joining BlackRock, Mr. De Jesus worked at Long Term Capital Management (later JWM Partners) as a strategist focused on fixed income relative value trading and developing risk management and trading tools and at Goldman Sachs as a programmer analyst.
Mr. De Jesus earned a BS degree in economics and a BS degree in engineering, both from the University of Pennsylvania, in 1993.

Brian R. Fagen
BNP Paribas

Brian R. Fagen is a Managing Director and Co-Head of Americas Cash Equities Markets at BNP Paribas in New York.
Brian’s current responsibilities cover the entirety of the Cash Equities business including Sales and Trading, Research Distribution and Corporate Access. He joined BNP Paribas in March of 2020 from Deutsche Bank as part of the transfer of the Electronic Equities and Prime Finance businesses. At DB he was the Head of Equity Execution Services and Execution Strategy. He was previously Head of Global Electronic Trading Distribution and Co-Head of Liquid Market Sales Americas at Barclays Capital, a role he also held at Lehman Brothers before joining Barclays Capital in 2008. Brian spent two years at Lehman Brothers prior to the Barclays acquisition, after having held senior roles at Morgan Stanley including leading the Program Trading, Electronic Trading, Equity Futures and Money Manager Derivative Sale’s businesses from 1988 until 2006.
Brian is a board member of the Rutgers Road to Wall Street Program, and National Organization of Investment Professionals. He previously held board positions at BATS Stock Exchange (now part of CBOE), BIDS Trading, The Mead School and The Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation of Westchester County, NY. He holds a BS in Accounting from Rutgers University.

Roman Ginis
Intelligent Cross

Roman Ginis is the Founder and CEO of Imperative Execution, the financial technology company behind IntelligentCross, a leading US equities trading venue that uses AI to optimize price discovery. IntelligentCross matches orders near-continuously, within microseconds of arrival, to achieve maximum price stability after trades, enabling better displayed prices and tighter spreads. Before launching IntelligentCross, Roman was a quantitative trader at Point72 and UBS, where he ran portfolios in US equities. He earned a doctorate in Computer Science in distributed systems and discrete optimization from The California Institute of Technology, holds patents in stream computing and complex event processing, and is an expert in market micro-structure and trade execution.

Jenny Hadiaris
Cowen

Jenny Hadiaris is the Head of Global Market Structure at TD Cowen, serving as a leading expert in equities regulation, trading technology, execution consultancy, liquidity dynamics and market microstructure. She also runs TD Cowen’s U.S. electronic trading coverage team, a group of sales traders covering institutional clients globally. In this role, she serves on the Operating Committee of the firm’s Markets division as well as the Markets Management Committee. She is also a co-lead of the TD Cowen Network of Women.
Prior to TD Cowen, Ms. Hadiaris was with Deutsche Bank where she led the market structure team as the Head of Global Market Structure, Americas. There, she launched the Americas market structure product which covered clients across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia Pacific. Prior to that, she spent ten years at RBC Capital Markets where she acted in a similar capacity and served from 2010 to 2015 as Director, Global Head of Market Structure.
Ms. Hadiaris serves on the board of the National Organization of Investment Professionals and has been a member of the MEMX Exchange Board since 2020. She has served on the Board of Directors for The Pink Agenda, the Board of Associates at the Ronald McDonald House of New York, and the Board of Trustees of Thornton Academy in Maine. In 2021, Ms. Hadiaris established Abe’s Fund at Maine Medical Center, which provides direct care to pediatric Cystic Fibrosis patients. She graduated from Harvard University with a BA in Psychology.

Peter Haas
Wells Fargo

Head of Equity Electronic Trading, Wells Fargo Securities, LLC
Peter Haas is the Head of Equity Electronic Trading for Wells Fargo Securities. In this role, he is responsible for the innovation, operation, and quantitative foundation of the firm’s electronic trading business.
Prior to his current role, Peter ran the Equity Electronic Product team for three years and led the team responsible for Coverage, Trading, and Execution Consulting within Portfolio and Electronic Trading for six years. Peter began his career at Wells Fargo Securities 20 years ago in Equity Cash Trading before building out the Portfolio and Electronic trading desks. He holds a Bachelor of Arts from Loyola University, Maryland.

Chris Murphy
Susquehanna Financial Group

Chris Murphy is the co-head of derivatives strategy, working with Susquehanna’s institutional clients on idea generation, optimization, and execution. In addition to his role on the strategy team, Chris continues to cover institutional accounts directly in his role as a derivatives sales trader. He has worked at Susquehanna for the past 19 years and went through the trader training program. Chris makes frequent appearances as a guest on CNBC and Bloomberg. He graduated from Swarthmore College and has an MBA from NYU.

Stephen J. Berte
BIDS

As President, Stephen Berte is responsible for the strategic direction and growth of BIDS Trading, the Alternative Trading System designed to increase competition and liquidity in equity trading markets around the world.

Berte began his career at Standard Life Investments (SLI) in 2003, where he spent nearly 17 years. Berte’s career at SLI started as an equity trading assistant and evolved into roles that included Global Head of Equity Trading based in Edinburgh, UK, as well as Head of Trading in the Americas across all asset classes including equity, FI, derivatives, money markets, and FX. Berte also sat on the Executive Management Committee and the Investment Management Committee in the Americas, shepherding the growth of the US business and delivering world class outcomes to their clients. From SLI, Berte spent his next three years at Liquidnet Holdings and Tourmaline Partners, operating in a variety of strategic roles including business development, relationship management and corporate strategy helping to grow both businesses. Berte graduated from Brown University with a BA in sociology and holds FINRA Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.

Vivian Bakonyi
BlackRock

Vivian Bakonyi, Senior Equity Trader, is a member of BlackRock’s Americas Equity Trading team. She has extensive experience in US & Canadian markets and diverse knowledge of equities, ETFs, preferred securities and convertible bonds. She also has interest in market infrastructure and taxation.

Kyle Fenton
APG

Kyle Fenton is a Senior Equity and Fixed Income Trader at APG Asset Management US Inc. With 15 years of experience in the investment business, Mr. Fenton is experienced from the front office to the back of the house. He currently serves as a multi-asset trader, executing in the equity, fixed income and derivative space for a variety of investment mandates within the Americas region at APG. Mr. Fenton joins APG from Employees Retirement System of Texas, where he spent two years trading primarily cash equities. Prior to that he spent six years at boutique small cap equity manager Rainier Investment Management in Seattle, Washington, trading domestic and international small cap equities. He began his career at Janus Capital Group (now Janus Henderson Investors) in 2008 as a fund accountant, before moving into trading operations in 2010. He is a member of the National Organization of Investment Professionals (NOIP). Mr. Fenton holds a B.S. in Health and Exercise Science from Colorado State University, and an MBA in Finance from the University of Denver.

Ed Groszewski
Capital Group

Edward Groszewski is an equity trader at Capital Group. He has 24 years of investment industry experience and has been with Capital Group for 16 years. Prior to joining Capital, Ed was an equity trader at Cowen and Co. and Bank of America. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Cornell University. Ed is based in San Francisco.
